The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, is organizing it's 23rd edition of the Partnership Summit, from 27-29 January 2017 at APIIC Ground, Harbour Park, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Ms Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon'ble Minister for Commerce and Industry is the Chair of the Summit andAndhra Pradesh is the 'Partner State' to this prestigious initiative.
With over two decades of active engagement and collaboration of India with the rest of the world, the Partnership Summit, from the very onset has provided a platform for dialogue, deliberation and engagement among global leaders from all walks of life, towards a greater understanding of the forces that are shaping the world and challenges that need global policy attention, and the responses that are required to manage changes effectively.
The Partnership Summit, which started in 1995, to mark the centenary of CII, has since become one of the most important international business events in the country. It aims to further partnerships, to build ideologies based on shared dreams that bind societies together in this knowledge driven world. The Summit has established itself as an ideal ground for business networking and sharing of ideas among stakeholders on the best strategies and policies to help countries overcome the obstacles to improving competitiveness and integrate better into the globalized world.
The Partnership Summit has regularly featured Heads of States and Governments, Ministers, policy makers, CEOs, academicians and thought leaders from all over the world. The Prime Ministers of India, Singapore, Canada, UK, Italy, Czech Republic, Macedonia and Presidents of India, Poland and Portugal have addressed the Partnership Summit since its inception.
The Summit traditionally sees over 1500 delegates with almost 40% attending from several countries including USA, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Mexico, Canada, France, Australia, South Africa, Italy, Qatar, China, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE etc.

'Incredible India Investors’ Summit in New Delhi from the 21st to 23rd September, 2016
The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in collaboration with Tourism Finance Corporation of India (TFCI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising the Incredible India Investors' Summit in New Delhi from 21-23 September 2016.
Tourism sector in India presents a plethora of investment opportunities in areas of infrastructure development, both from India and overseas. The main objective of the Incredible India Investors' Summit is to position the Indian Tourism sector for attracting large investments and presenting to the Investors tangible investment-ready projects in the different States/Union Territories of India. The Summit will have dedicated space for seminars, business to business meetings and roundtables around focused themes.
The Summit will provide an ideal platform for investors interested in tourism products, wherein Indian States/PSUs shall present their respective investor-ready products encompassing hospitality, wellness, roadways, infrastructure, airports, luxury and lifestyle, curises and civic amenities amongs others.

Government of India's Initiatives to Encourage Tourism India
Initiatives to encourage tourism in India: GoI has launched web based E-ticketing for important monuments such as Taj Mahal, Agra and Humayun’s Tomb in New Delhi. Further ASI has identified 25 model monuments (Adarsh Samarak) for e-ticketing as well as for making free public wifi available in these. Free wifi zones are available already in some touristic places of India such as Khan Market and Connaught Place, New Delhi; Shivaji Park, Navi Mumbai and Metro Station in Mumbai; MG Road, Brigade Road, Shanti Nagar, Yashwantpur and Indira Nagar, Bangalore; Kankariya Lake, Gandhi Asram, Iskon Mall, Science City, Madhopura Market in Ahmedabad and between NIT Patna and Dunapur in Bihar. Government of India's Electronics Development Fund Policy
Electronics Development Fund Policy: To promote electronics manufacturing in India, GOI has formulated this policy that envisages setting up an Electronics Development Fund (EDF) to foster R&D and innovation in electronics, IT and nano electronics. CANBANK Venture Fund Ltd. (CVCFL) is the designated Fund Manager for EDF. (Further details are available on www.canbankventure.com.) 46th International Film Festival of India, 20-30 November, 2015.
The International Film Festival of India Secretariat (Directorate of Films Festivals) under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting is going to organize the 46th International Film Festival of India (IFFI-2015) in Goa from 20-30 November, 2015. In addition to the regular section of the festival, an International competition for Directorate of Feature Films from all continents is being organized in this Film Festival. The total prize is approximately USD 2,00,000.
2. The Festival will have the following sections:
(i) International Competition for Feature Films (produced between 1st September, 2014 and 31st August, 2015);
(ii) A main International Section called Non-Competition (Cinema of the World), which will consist of recent award-winning and critically acclaimed films, but produced after 1st January, 2014;
(iii) Period/Personality-based Foreign Retrospectives, Homages, Focus & Premieres;
(iv) An Indian Panorama of the best recent Indian feature and non-feature films subtitled in English; and
(v) A Film Bazaar (Film Market)
3. Film Bazaar will be organized by National Film Development Corporation alongwith other Film Industry organizations as part of the Festival.
